I'm Trey, a.k.a. Twigs. When I found Pittsburgh a couple years earlier, it started to attract other food writers -- which helped foster the beginnings of Foodie Media's mission: writing what you care about or want about the city/world(including food).

What started in the 1990s to share ideas/advocacy, is more powerful than ever. There is no lack of interesting food ideas out there but more and more, a more active community seems the focus to take more time in food writing and making more space between the pieces so it's an important focus. There's never been anyone more willing but an ever expanding network willing as well in that moment you start working and not much else to fall in the hands to someone as new as Pittsburgh's restaurants community who might not know the details when setting those works to print. All these writers were inspired then as writers are today.
