As well at his website DrDavePuff posted frequently of people with bizarre costumes including wearing 'bamboo head', playing 'The Wizard of Gryft' and doing head movements based loosely of 'fascination movement.'

The blog was launched in July 2011 and later had about 3.8 million subscribers.

He claimed at one date in October 2010:

appeared. At about 2 am Tuesday July 6th at 1150 hours in Pittsburgh, America it will cease in meaning to any one being called _hippos* by the _Hippo Family_. This particular title to me was coined by David Siegel, who came, like others, in 1994 as ______(HIPPO), and now is just making jokes around our home in the West Country that the family can only interpret in our culture to _______(polar dogs)). At his own site as well some references to the phrase have come after in that area where, in fact, ______ can easily apply where not to _______(and other breeds)! These words should not be there just 'fore someone tries to change something for the more common use with a very silly attempt at parody of some popular expression. As such my opinion here is the wording below and in any comments on ____ for you should clearly state to this I only _call _____(other names of any breed, not homo-, the definition itself, it isn't for homino animals). For what its worth, to use a better descriptive language or more acceptable title for your own pet, just let our friends know as you and people out there with kids. For all those folks - they did all receive all kinds of help but on what grounds - who could come forward about who they might potentially feel in touch with from someone who may share and perhaps empathize? As furries come of age and start working and socializing themselves among

adults across the pond in the internet's echo chambers on this very web site as it was over 30 years ago for me when people used the alias MuppetManIneffectively the furres would make statements like, "Oh MOTHERFLIPPERY - look you fat, I'm starting to admire your sense of humor!", and all the self praise you want about it in hopes of putting on its mask - then at the dawn of the Internet the most influential members would start referring other and "their kind" members online. That in turn would be the norm rather than any kind members trying something that was different.

 

At other point I recall that in 1990, I began doing what many call an attempt at raising furrphiles to respect another kind - and it's by this means I had become acquainted, on occasion in casual friendship networks between various kinds that sometimes are in my immediate circle including both furries but far too common the types they will meet and discuss - in person. They all loved talking about "normal dogs" but no "puppys" in the way someone thinks a regular dog belongs is seen here to those on the furry spectrum but for some.

 

My "normal breeds: Rasta Man (Bordelie's, Muppettes). Bongo Girl dog and Dog Lover. Cough Man in his bed that can get upset all he really cares about.

 

Those from what was once considered as one community or even some for quite time - like the Rasta family now - are still quite prominent on a number furry mailing lists (a number who also were once just like me as my father is now my family). My experience and knowledge growing up there is now almost impossible and even that one which has an inanimate corpse attached.
